Firefighter Shield

The the most satisfying part of being a stained glass artist is creating something that comes from a client. Sharon found me at a craft fair. She saw a shield I had done for another client in memory of a relative that died in the line of duty in NYC on 9-11. The challenge was to get a design that fit what she imagined her husband would love.
We worked through several designs. The final change came up when she came to my studio to pick out glass. The end result is a very personal piece of art that will last a lifetime.
